JOSH BLANKSBY
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER - MELBOURNE RACING CLUB
Josh has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Melbourne Racing Club since December 2017. In that time Josh has overseen the development of the Club’s $400m Master Plan at Caulfield Racecourse which includes the development of a racing and entertainment precinct including 2 race tracks, night racing and a new grandstand. He has also overseen material upgrades at Sandown and Mornington Racecourses to allow the MRC to deliver 80 race meetings every year across their 3 racecourses.
Josh has driven the expansion of the Pegasus Leisure Group – the hospitality arm of the Club – and oversaw the establishment of the MRC Foundation. Josh is also a director of Racing.com Pty Ltd, the integrated media business of Victorian racing.
Before becoming CEO, Josh held the position of Executive Director, Racing and Corporate Affairs at the MRC for four years. Prior to joining the MRC, Josh was the Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Betfair for seven years and before that practised corporate law.
