PAUL BITTAR

Paul has worked in the global racing and wagering industries for the past two decades. Paul trained as an accountant before becoming involved in the racing industry, holding various senior executive and Board roles across a variety of organisations including Chief Strategy Officer of Racing Victoria, CEO of New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing and more recently CEO and Board member of British Horseracing Authority.
On returning to Australia, Paul was the GM Sports Partnerships at Sportsbet for four years where he led the engagement and commercial development across key sport and racing partners. Working in conjunction with the broader Sportsbet business, this included commercial partners such as Racing.com and Best Bets, as well as several global racing projects as part of the Flutter Group. In addition, Paul led Sportsbet’s corporate development functions related to media rights and wagering licence transactions including the previous WA TAB process, Victorian Wagering Licence and exploration of TAB NZ licensing options.
In late 2019. Paul established a consultancy business and has been consulting with others under the AP2 banner, working across a range of clients in the wagering, media rights, racing and sport sectors. This work has covered general corporate strategy, leading of numerous M&A and DD transaction processes, media and commercial rights deals on behalf of clients both in Australia and internationally.
