Lachlan is the Chief Financial Officer for Racing Queensland.
Lachlan combines his competitive nature and analytical mindset to push himself and his teams to great outcomes.
His entire 20+ year career has been spent in and around the wagering industry, starting off learning the ropes under Mark Read at IASbet before successfully transitioning across into senior commercial roles with Sportsbet.
Seeing an opportunity to relocate to the Sunshine State (Queensland), Lachlan joined up with industry powerhouse Dean Shannon at Ladbrokes, initially as Commercial Director and then moving into the CFO position. In his five years at Ladbrokes, he led the strategic planning process as well as M&A, including the acquisition of Neds in late 2018.
Lachlan spent 2 years with startup betting exchange Buddybet as CFO, then non-executive director before starting with Racing Queensland as Chief Financial & Strategy Officer in August 2023.
