Chris is the Chairman of the Australian Bookmakers Association. With over 25 years of experience in the bookmaking industry, Chris Lester has successfully combined his passion for bookmaking with a distinguished career in accounting, finance, and investment banking.
In 2020, Chris partnered with Mark Sampieri to launch Realbookie, followed by the infamous BaggyBet in 2022. Since then, Chris has fully dedicated himself to bookmaking, using his deep industry knowledge to provide consulting services to online bookmakers, focusing on areas such as Compliance, Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG), and Customer Service.
Chris holds leadership roles within the industry as Co-Chairman of the Victorian Bookmakers Association and Chairman of the Australian Bookmakers Association, where he advocates for and supports the interests of bookmakers across Australia.
