Fiona Mellor
Media and Racing Executive
Fiona is an accomplished senior executive whose career spans across media and more recently racing. For over 20 years at NewsCorp, she led some of the company's largest revenue and EBITDA portfolios, with a sharp focus on audience growth.
Her passion for the industries she represented—sport and entertainment—naturally led her to sports administration. In 2022, she joined Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) as Chief Commercial Officer. Seven months later, she was appointed Interim CEO for five months, and recently left HRV after 2.5 years.
Fiona credits her time at HRV with providing valuable insights into sports administration, government ministerial dealings, live broadcast production, key racing and wagering stakeholder management, and leading agile teams in data modelling and racing product improvements designed to increase turnover.
