Jason is General Manager Commercial and Finance of TAB NZ. With a wealth of experience in the racing industry ranging from stable hand to club CEO to the board room, Jason was a board member of TAB NZ when it negotiated the ground breaking strategic partnership with Entain in 2023. TAB NZ now steers towards an even brighter future fuelled with a transformational operating model. Subsequently there are further opportunities to be shaped and disruption will be at the core of this revolution.
Holding a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) Jason is well versed to challenge the status quo and boundaries that have strangled racing in NZ. Prior to his involvement in racing administration Jason worked in deal execution in the structured finance markets of Europe driving innovation and pan market collaboration - vital components of the later successes that have moulded his management and governance career.
Jason is deeply passionate and committed to assisting the NZ wagering industry fulfil its potential – he is not afraid to challenge the norms, celebrate tradition yet grasp opportunity and vitally make commercial judgements based on maximising the greater good.
