Head of Racing - Moonee Valley Racing Club

Charlotte is the Head of Racing at Moonee Valley Racing Club.

Charlotte joined the MVRC as Head of Racing two years ago (2022) following 14 years at Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA), leading the management and development of the State’s tri-code racing operations as Chief Racing Officer from 2017 to 2022.

Her expertise and experience includes the areas of wagering, media rights, ownership enhancement programs, events, marketing, media, government relations, race programming, animal welfare, Club infrastructure; industry training and careers, public relations and stakeholder engagement – across the thoroughbred, harness and greyhound codes of racing.

Charlotte’s racing administration experience has been complemented by 3 years working for two Federal Government Senators in the portfolios of Immigration, Foreign Affairs, Health and Human Services.

After 18 years working across three principal racing authorities in three different States– Racing Victoria, Tasmanian Thoroughbred Racing Council (TTRC) and RWWA- Charlotte took up the role as a Club senior administrator back in her home state of Victoria, overseeing the recruitment of international and domestic weight-for-age performers into Australia’s Best Race, the Ladbrokes Cox Plate.  As Head of Racing, Charlotte oversees the Racing, Marketing, Communications and Events remit at The Valley.

As a two-time Telstra Business Woman of the Year Finalist (2017, 2019), Charlotte’s approach to industry challenges has always invoked innovation and demanded a broader audience appreciation for the product and reputation in question.   She welcomes a national approach to Australia’s shared racing and wagering challenges and opportunities.
