Lachlan Murray
Acting CEO, Racing Queensland
Lachlan is the Acting Chief Executive Officer for Racing Queensland.
With 20 years in and around the wagering industry, Lachlan started with Mark Read at IASbet before successfully transitioning across into senior commercial roles with Sportsbet.
Lachlan joined Dean Shannon at Ladbrokes soon after Ladbrokes was launched in Australia, initially as Commercial Director and then moving into the CFO position. In his five years at Ladbrokes, he led the strategic planning process as well as M&A, including the acquisition of Neds in late 2018.
Lachlan spent 2 years with startup betting exchange Buddybet as CFO, then non-executive director before starting with Racing Queensland as Chief Financial & Strategy Officer in August 2023.
He stepped up to the Acting Chief Executive Officer role in February 2025
