Mary Collier has built one of the Australian racing industry's most diverse careers, with more than two decades of executive leadership spanning race clubs, principal racing authorities, wagering operators, peak industry associations, boards, and government.
Mary is currently leading the implementation of The Next Lap, the Queensland Government's racing reform agenda.
Having worked across the commercial, regulatory, and public policy landscape, Mary brings a broad perspective on the opportunities and challenges facing modern racing. She previously worked in law and media, experience that continues to shape her practical approach to leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strategic reform.
Alongside her executive career, Mary has remained committed to giving back through voluntary leadership, including as a former Director of the National Jockeys' Trust.
As an owner of both thoroughbreds and greyhounds, she understands the industry from the perspective of participants and policymakers alike—and knows that optimism is still one of racing's most enduring qualities.
