PEITA DUNCAN
CHAIR - GREYHOUND RACING VICTORIA
Peita Duncan is a highly experienced non-executive Director working in highly complex and high-risk environments. She is a former director of the Melbourne Greyhound Racing Association (MGRA), which runs The Meadows facility. She has worked for a number of leading Australian law firms in senior executive roles and has extensive experience working across all operational areas of business.
Ms Duncan was formerly a Non-Executive Director of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade, and formerly a Non-Executive Director of the Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority. She is also an administrator to the Whittlesea City Council until October 2024.
Ms Duncan was appointed to the Board in October 2015 and served as Deputy Chair and Acting Chair before being elevated to the position of Chair in October 2019.
Peita has previously been involved in the greyhound industry as a greyhound owner and a has a family history including starting price bookmakers.
