In 2006 Mick Sharkie left the bright lights of environmental science behind him and bet his career on horse racing.
A well-respected journalist and industry analyst across print, radio and television for nearly two decades, Mick sidestepped into bloodstock in 2017 and now manages premier pre-training and education property Leneva Park while continuing to consult on media and racing operations projects.
Fun fact, Mick was once trampled by a heavily pregnant broodmare twice in five minutes.
