Suman Hedge
Owner & Principal, Suman Hedge Bloodstock
Suman Hedge has spent 25 years working in breeding, racing and bloodstock and for the last seven years has run his own bloodstock company.
Parlaying a long-held passion for the industry, he began his professional career as John O’Shea’s Racing Manager in 2000, before working in a nominations roles at Eliza Park and Woodside Park and then joining Matchem Racing. In the meantime, he had begun breeding horses, with one of his first successes being Triple Honour, Chris Waller’s first-ever Group 1 winner.
Through his association with Islander Racing, Suman purchased future champion stallions Zoustar and Written Tycoon, and off the back of these successes launched Suman Hedge Bloodstock in 2018. Since that point, further Group 1 success has flowed, both as an owner and as an agent. His is currently a director on the board of the Federation Of Bloodstock Agents Australia (FBAA).
