Detective Senior Sergeant, Victoria Police Sporting Integrity Unit
Detective Senior Sergeant Jason Poulton leads the Victoria Police Sporting Integrity Unit, drawing on 30 years of frontline policing experience across investigative, operational and leadership roles. His career includes substantial management and investigative experience across Organised Crime, Homicide, Arson and Explosives, Regional Crime and Taskforce environments, including oversight of major investigations into serious and organised crime.
Since joining the Sporting Integrity Unit in October 2022, Detective Senior Sergeant Poulton has played a central role in managing investigations relating to match fixing and race fixing. He has enhanced policing support for sport integrity stakeholders through the development of strategic relationships with sports governing bodies, government agencies and law enforcement partners, while strengthening opportunities for intelligence sharing. Jason’s extensive experience, combined with critical thinking and a proactive approach to emerging challenges, positions him as a key contributor within law enforcement in the joint endeavour to protect the integrity of sport.
